Ski patrolling requires a wide range of educational backgrounds and diverse experiences. This scholarship is for patrollers looking to expand their horizons and better themselves and the patrol community. Applicants should be a current patroller who is participating in an educational pursuit or has future plans to enroll in one.
The Cirque Avalanche Dog Scholarship
Training an avalanche dog is a huge commitment of one’s time, energy, and ski patrol career. Training must happen both while at work as well as on your free time, and is continuous throughout the entirety of a dog’s career. It often takes years of effort and cost to train a dog to a validation level. This scholarship is for Keystone avalanche dogs who have recently passed a C-RAD validation test and are actively deployable.
